Anxiety is defined as “a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome.”
Symptoms of Anxiety can be a racing heart, Heart palpitations, Sweaty palms, Feeling faint or dizzy, A feeling of being totally out of control and the panic sets in.
These are all feelings that we may have all experienced at some time in our lives, but when they happen at inappropriate times or regularly, are excessive and unable to be controlled, impact on a one’s ability to go about their everyday life, then they become more of a concern for us.
As humans we are designed to recognise difficult situations and deal with them immediately. Our bodies release chemicals such as adrenaline which enable us to react to the situation and face up to it or just run away. Too many instances of these chemicals being released and prolonged exposure to stressful or difficult situations can lead to constant feelings of anxiety; panic attacks can often occur as a result.
I have experience working with all different types of anxiety disorders, ranging from Social phobias / anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic attacks and Phobias which have resulted in panic attacks and anxiety.
If you feel that your anxiety or fear is holding you back from doing what you want to or should be doing in your life, or if just want to be able to tackle your greatest worries and fears and “get back to normal”, then hypnotherapy will help you feel like you want to be once more. During my sessions you will be able to deal with any underlying traumas or past experiences which may be contributing to the anxiety or panic attacks.
You will be able to think more positively about your future and not focus on the past. Your self-confidence will be improved and you will be taught really effective techniques to help you to relax and focus on your breathing. I may also choose to use some Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT or tapping) on you to enable you to take control of your own state of mind and release any emotions that have been causing you to feel this way.
Currently, I am completing my CPCAB Counselling Skills Level 2 course, so I can honestly say that being empathic, a good listener and non-judgemental are my best qualities. Whatever your issue, you can be rest assured that you are in safe hands and I use my skills with hypnosis for anxiety to relax, calm and bring a state of positive well-being back into your life.
